Our collars are made on an industrial sewing machine. On strong webbing, we stitch a colorful fabric or trim and finish the collar off by lining it in soft fleece or satin. Let us know if you prefer a certain lining. We use top quality nickel plate metal slides and cast or welded D rings. We will use a matching or coordinating webbing for your collar whenever possible (you may see a bit of the webbing along the edges of the trim) but please feel free to contact us if you would prefer a certain color of webbing.
Side Release: This is the typical collar you find at a pet store or boutique. It has a sturdy plastic snap and is adjustable.
Martingale: Otiginally designed for Sighthounds because their necks are often larger than their heads and they can often slip out of buckle collars. This design slips over the head and then adjusts to fit. Properly fitted, the collar will be comfortably loose when not in use. When the Martingale control loop is pulled, the 2 slides (hardware on the small control loop of the Martingale) should pull close together but the two slides should never touch.
Combo: Functions like a martingale but has a side release snap buckle so it is easy to put on and take off; eliminating the need for adjusting each time.
Please note that no collar is 100% safe and all collars present a choking hazard. If you like your dog to have identification on at all times, we recommend a tag or side release collar and highly recommend the stainless steel CollarTags from Boomerang as the safest way to keep identification on your pets collar. No dangling tags to catch on things. Martingales and Combos should only be used for walks and never left on an unsupervised dog.
